MaeDay's first fundraiser and book release event was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who attended, all who donated and all of the generous sponsors and volunteers who helped make the event a night to remember! If you missed the event but would like to purchase a book, click here.

We had over 150 people come out to support MaeDay Rescue and contribute to saving more animals. People danced to the amazing set by DJ ARK, and drank vodka sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka, which was paired with some original handmade punches by Public Cocktails. People who weren't liquor drinkers enjoyed a wine selection donated by our friends Shawn Holden & Simone Perusse. Attendees bid on silent auction items from our generous donors, which included gift cards from Grocerie by Foodink, Urban Pet, Barkbox, Pour La Pooch, Clover Juice, Tully‚Äôs Training, Mortified and Eric Charles Photography. We auctioned art from Amy Turner, Kelly Boesch & Lori Ashcraft, gift baskets from Terroni & Stir Market and jewelry from Stephanie Aragon. While people were bidding and mingling, everyone was fed by Grocerie by Foodink catering with fabulous food like mini quiches,  crepe rolls and tofu larb, while our good MaeDay friend Scott Camilli ran the kitchen and made some of his famous crostinis. The "Rescue '68" books flew off the shelf. Many of the actors from the book who volunteered their time came and enjoyed the event, along with everyone else who helped with the MaeDay book vision, including Eric Charles our amazing photographer for the book. We offer a special thanks to our generous host, Axel Shalson, who opened up his gorgeous private home under the Hollywood sign. The night ended with a view of fireworks from the distance, making it a truly magical night for animals. We raised well over our goal and will use all the money to support animals in need, spay & neutering, foster care and to open a MaeDay space in the future.
