  • WHY RESCUE?

The choice to adopt a rescue rather than buying from breeders, puppy mills, or pet stores saves a life.

    • An average of 600 dogs are euthanized every month in LA city shelters.
    • 200 of these dogs are Pitbulls.
    • Approximately 700 cats are euthanized each month in LA city shelters.

This number, sadly, is still devastatingly high.  The good news is that the statistics from past years show that the number of adoptions has gone up and euthanization has gone down, all thanks to fantastic rescue groups, networking groups and people choosing to adopt shelter dogs.

MaeDay is committed to educating people about animal rescue with a  strong focus on spaying and neutering animals!  The fewer animals born, the fewer are put to death.

  • WHAT IS THE ADOPTION FEE?

The application fee is $300. All of our rescues are delivered with a clean bill of health, spayed or neutered, and groomed.

  • HOW DO I FOSTER?

We always need foster care. As MaeDay grows we can save as many animals as we can if we have someplace to put them. Our long term goal is to own a space to temporarily house our rescue animals, but until then we need foster homes.

All fostering entails is offering up your living space! Mae-Day will take care of the food, leash, collar, vet bills, crate etc...

You will get a few weeks of unlimited animal love, you get to be part of that animal's journey in finding its perfect home. It is one of the best feelings! You get to meet many animals instead of just one and it costs you nothing!!! If you are thinking of adopting an animal, but aren’t quite ready to commit fully, this is a perfect solution to slowly becoming a full time animal parent.

  • HOW IS MY DONATION USED?

All donations and adoption fees are used to rescue animals, provide for their medical needs, give foster homes needed supplies and cover transportation costs associated with rescuing animals. We have little to no overhead so all money goes directly to saving animal's lives.
